Product Overview

The Pentair IntelliCenter 523967 is a complete pool and spa automation package combining the IntelliCenter Load Center, i5PS shared-equipment personality system, IntelliChlor Plus40 Salt Chlorine Generator, integrated salt-chlorine-generator transformer, High Power Wireless connectivity, and two Compool valve actuators.

This configuration is designed for pool and spa combinations that share the same filtration and heating equipment. The i5PS system provides five high-voltage relay circuits—four auxiliary circuits plus one filter-pump circuit—for centralized control of pumps, heaters, lighting, water features, and other pool equipment.

The 523967 is especially important to distinguish from 523964: both are i5PS IntelliCenter systems with IntelliChlor Plus40, but 523967 includes two Compool valve actuators, while 523964 is configured with two IntelliValve actuators. Pentair introduced 523967 as the replacement for legacy 523683.

Specifications

What Does i5PS Mean?

The i5PS configuration is designed for a pool and spa that share major equipment, such as the circulation pump, filtration system, and heater.

It provides:

• 1 filter-pump circuit
• 4 auxiliary circuits
• 5 total relays

The auxiliary circuits can be assigned to equipment such as pool lights, spa lights, blowers, water features, booster pumps, landscape lighting, or other compatible equipment.

IntelliChlor Plus40 Salt Chlorination

The included IntelliChlor Plus40 produces chlorine directly from salt dissolved in the pool water. The salt system integrates with IntelliCenter, allowing automation and sanitation equipment to operate as part of the same Pentair control platform.

The Plus40 is designed for pools up to 40,000 gallons and produces approximately 1.4 pounds of chlorine per 24 hours at 100% output.

523967 vs. 523964

For customers specifically needing standard Compool-style actuators, 523967 is the correct configuration.

Replacement Information

Pentair 523967 replaces legacy part number 523683.

The updated package changes the previous IntelliChlor configuration to Pentair's newer IntelliChlor Plus40 while maintaining the i5PS Load Center configuration and two Compool valve actuators.
