Product overview

Light larger areas of your pool with the Pentair IntelliVibe Mezzo, a compact 24W color LED luminaire with a 100-foot cord. Part 602282 is designed for the IntelliVibe pool lighting system, which provides app-based color selection, dimming, schedules, and lighting zones when paired with the required IntelliVibe Controller.

The Mezzo has a 3-inch light body and is approximately 5 inches across with its trim ring installed. Its factory-installed threaded adapter fits compatible 1½-inch wall fittings, giving installers a compact lighting option for pools and spas.

Specifications and compatibility

Check the complete installation before purchase. The IntelliVibe Controller is required for this light’s operation and app features. The controller and transformer are not included with this luminaire. A GloBrite niche retrofit may require a separate adapter and the appropriate trim ring.

Installation and upgrade context

IntelliVibe Mezzo can be considered for a new pool lighting layout or a qualified retrofit where the wall fitting, conduit, cable route, and electrical equipment meet Pentair’s installation requirements. Pentair also lists specific compatible fittings, so a 1½-inch opening alone does not confirm fit.

The light uses three conductors: black and white for power and green for communication with the IntelliVibe Controller. The green wire is not a ground wire. Have a licensed or certified electrician or qualified pool professional confirm the controller, transformer, fitting, and wiring arrangement. The light must be completely submerged before operation.

This 100-foot version sits between Mezzo part 602281 with a 50-foot cord and 602283 with a 150-foot cord. Measure the full route to the controller or junction box, including the required service length, before choosing a cord length.

Frequently asked questions

Does 602282 include the IntelliVibe Controller?
No. The IntelliVibe Controller is a separate component required for operation and app control.

Can I connect it directly to my existing color-light controller?
Do not assume compatibility with a legacy lighting controller. IntelliVibe Mezzo uses its dedicated IntelliVibe control and wiring system.

Will it fit my GloBrite niche?
A retrofit may be possible with the appropriate separate adapter. Confirm the niche, trim ring, conduit, and electrical requirements with your installer.

Are white trim rings included?
Yes. Pentair identifies white shallow and deep trim rings as included with the Mezzo light. Other colors and retrofit-specific trim options are available separately.

Can it be installed facing upward?
Pentair permits vertical installation under specific depth and placement requirements. Have the installer check the application against the Mezzo installation guide.
