The Pentair 460794 kit is designed for compatible natural-gas versions of the MasterTemp 175 and Max-E-Therm 175 pool and spa heaters.

Compatibility can vary according to the heater’s complete model number, manufacturing date, serial number, burner configuration, gas valve, and installed fuel components. Verify all equipment information before ordering.

This kit is not intended for MasterTemp 125, 200, 250, 300, or 400 heaters. It should not be used with ETi, MiniMax, or heaters manufactured by other brands. It also does not convert an existing propane heater back to natural gas.

Installation Requirements

Installation must be completed by personnel qualified to service gas-fired pool and spa heaters. Electrical power and the gas supply must be disconnected before service begins.

After installing the conversion components, the technician must verify propane supply pressure, manifold pressure, leak-free gas connections, ignition performance, burner operation, combustion quality, ventilation, and safe exhaust operation.

The heater must be labeled to identify its new propane configuration. All installation procedures must follow Pentair instructions, applicable fuel-gas codes, local building requirements, and propane-supplier regulations.

Never operate the heater on propane before the conversion has been completed and professionally tested. Do not drill, modify, substitute, or reuse fuel-metering components unless specifically permitted by Pentair.
