Check Your Vent Configuration

This collar is selected by vent design, not heater name alone. Pentair’s Max-E-Therm installation guide lists 77707-0076 for a 4-inch x 6-inch metal flue collar and provides a separate vent-sizing table. For example, its table permits a 6-inch Type B double-wall vent on certain Model 200 installations; requirements differ for larger models and other connector arrangements. A 4-inch x 8-inch collar is part 77707-0077. English

The 77707-0076 is not the adapter specified for positive-pressure Category III venting. Pentair lists separate appliance adapters for those vent systems. Have a qualified heater or venting professional verify the model, vent diameter, draft category, route, and applicable code requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit every MasterTemp or Max-E-Therm heater?
No universal fit should be assumed. Confirm that the heater’s installation instructions call for a 4-inch x 6-inch collar and that the planned 6-inch vent meets the vent-sizing requirements.

Can I use it for a horizontal vent run or a positive-pressure vent system?
This collar is listed for vertical, negative-pressure venting. Pentair specifies other adapters for positive-pressure Category III configurations. pentair.com
