Product Overview

Install compatible removable pool-deck equipment securely with the S.R. Smith AS-100D 6-Inch Bronze Anchor. This durable deck fitting is designed to accept round posts and stanchions measuring 1.90 inches in outside diameter. It is recommended for compatible pool games, volleyball posts, basketball equipment, and other removable accessories that require a deep deck-mounted socket.

The anchor is permanently installed in a properly prepared concrete pool deck. Its 6-inch-deep body provides stable support for compatible equipment while allowing the post to be removed when the pool game or accessory is not in use.

A removable anchor cap is included to cover the opening after the equipment has been taken out. The cover creates a cleaner, more finished deck appearance and helps reduce the amount of debris entering the anchor socket.

The AS-100D does not use an internal wedge. The installed equipment must have the correct 1.90-inch outside diameter and must be secured according to the instructions supplied with the pool game or deck accessory.

Specifications

Compatibility

The AS-100D is designed for equipment using round tubing with an outside diameter of 1.90 inches. The 1.90-inch measurement refers to the equipment post that slides into the anchor and not the outside diameter of the anchor itself.

Confirm the equipment manufacturer, post diameter, anchor spacing, deck thickness, and installation layout before ordering. Do not assume compatibility with standard 1.50-inch pool rails, ladders, handrails, or equipment using another tubing diameter.

This anchor is recommended primarily for removable pool-game equipment rather than wedge-secured ladder or handrail installations.

Installation Information

The anchor should be installed in structurally sound concrete with adequate depth and surrounding material to support the intended equipment. Position and spacing must match the specifications for the pool game or accessory being installed.

Set the anchor plumb and flush with the finished deck surface. Protect the socket from concrete, grout, or construction debris during installation. The anchor’s drainage opening should remain clear so water can escape rather than collect inside the socket.

Connect the supplied grounding screw to the pool’s equipotential bonding system when required by the equipment design and applicable electrical codes. Installation and bonding should be completed by a qualified pool contractor or electrician.

Warranty Information

Manufacturer warranty coverage is subject to S.R. Smith’s current terms, proof of purchase, correct application, and proper installation. Damage caused by incompatible tubing, incorrect anchor spacing, improper deck preparation, excessive loading, or poor water chemistry may not be covered.
