Product Overview

The Pentair A&A 5 Port Top Feed Ball Valve Rebuild Kit | 230060 is a genuine replacement kit designed to restore the internal operation of compatible A&A / Pentair in-floor cleaning system water valves. This kit is made for 5-port top-feed ball-style actuator valves that already use the large acrylic balls in the lower housing.

Instead of replacing the entire valve assembly, this rebuild kit allows pool professionals and homeowners to replace the worn internal moving components that control water distribution through the valve. It is commonly referenced with Pentair / A&A part numbers 230060 and 522917 and is used on select A&A in-floor cleaning systems such as Magna Sweep, Quick Clean, California Clean, Turbo Clean, Auto Clean, and Smart Clean systems.

Ideal For

A&A / Pentair 5-port top-feed ball valve repairs

In-floor pool cleaning systems with uneven zone cycling

Valves with worn gears, cams, washers, impellers, or internal moving parts

Systems that already have the large acrylic balls in the bottom of the valve

Pool service professionals repairing older-style A&A water valves

Customers looking to restore cleaning performance without replacing the full valve body

Key Features

Complete Internal Rebuild Solution

This kit is designed to replace the major internal moving parts of a compatible 5-port top-feed A&A ball valve, helping restore proper valve cycling and water distribution.

Designed for 5-Port Top Feed Ball Valves

The 230060 kit is specifically intended for 5-port top-feed A&A / Pentair water valves that use the large acrylic balls in the lower housing. It is not intended for newer T-valve flap-style assemblies.

Retains Existing Acrylic Balls

This rebuild kit replaces the internal valve components while typically retaining the large acrylic balls located at the bottom of the valve. The acrylic balls are not the primary replacement focus of this kit.

Updated 10-Gear Cam / Gear Plate Design

Some references note that the replacement gear plate may use a 10-gear design instead of the older 5-gear style, helping promote more even gear wear during valve operation.

Restores In-Floor Cleaning Performance

When the valve’s internal components become worn, zones may stop rotating correctly or water may not be directed efficiently. Rebuilding the valve can help restore proper zone sequencing and improve in-floor cleaning performance.

Compatible with Multiple A&A Cleaning Systems

This kit is commonly used with several A&A / Pentair in-floor cleaning systems, including Magna Sweep, Quick Clean, California Clean, Turbo Clean, Auto Clean, and Smart Clean systems.

Genuine Pentair / Formerly A&A Replacement Part

Pentair acquired and supports many formerly A&A Manufacturing in-floor cleaning components, making this a proper OEM-style replacement option for compatible A&A valve systems.

Benefits

The Pentair A&A 5 Port Top Feed Ball Valve Rebuild Kit helps bring a worn valve back into proper working condition without requiring a full valve replacement. By replacing the worn internal components, the valve can resume directing water through the cleaning zones more effectively.

For pool owners, this can mean better floor coverage, improved in-floor cleaning performance, and fewer issues caused by stuck, worn, or inconsistent valve cycling. For service professionals, the kit provides a practical repair option for older A&A 5-port top-feed ball valve systems.

Customer-Facing Q&A

What does this rebuild kit do?

This kit replaces worn internal components inside a compatible A&A / Pentair 5-port top-feed ball valve, helping restore proper valve rotation, zone sequencing, and water distribution.

Is this for a 5-port or 6-port valve?

This listing is for a 5-port top-feed ball valve rebuild kit. Customers should confirm their valve has 5 ports before ordering.

Does this work with valves that use acrylic balls?

Yes. This kit is intended for 5-port top-feed A&A water valves that already have the large acrylic balls at the bottom of the valve.

Does this work with T-valve flap-style valves?

No. This kit is for the older-style ball valve design, not the current-style T-valve flap design. Customers with T-valve systems should verify the correct replacement kit before ordering.

Are the acrylic balls included?

The acrylic balls are not confirmed as included. Multiple product references describe this kit as replacing the internal valve parts while retaining or excluding the large acrylic balls.

What systems is this commonly used with?

This kit is commonly referenced for A&A / Pentair in-floor cleaning systems such as Magna Sweep, Quick Clean, California Clean, Turbo Clean, Auto Clean, and Smart Clean.

Is professional installation recommended?
