Product Overview

The Hayward Goldline GVA-24 Pool/Spa Diverter Valve Actuator is a 24V motorized actuator designed to automate compatible pool and spa diverter valves. It rotates 2-port and 3-port valves automatically, helping control pool/spa mode changes, solar heating, water features, cleaner lines, and other automated plumbing functions.

The GVA-24 is designed for use with Hayward automation platforms such as Aqua Logic, Pro Logic, and the GL-235 Solar Controller, and Hayward states that its industry-standard configuration is compatible with major manufacturers’ valves and pool automation systems. It includes easy cam adjustments for precise control of valve rotation.

This actuator is commonly listed with 24V, 0.75A, and a 15 ft cable, making it a practical replacement or upgrade actuator for automated pool and spa plumbing systems.

Benefits

The Hayward Goldline GVA-24 helps automate water flow control throughout a pool and spa system. Instead of manually turning diverter valves, the actuator connects to compatible automation controls and rotates valves based on programmed operation.

This is especially helpful for pool/spa systems where suction and return valves need to switch between pool mode and spa mode. It is also useful for solar heating, water features, cleaners, and other plumbing circuits where automated flow control is needed.

For pool professionals, the GVA-24 is a widely used 24V actuator with adjustable cams, a familiar three-position switch, and broad compatibility with major pool automation and valve systems.

Installation Notes

This actuator should be installed by a qualified pool professional. Pool automation wiring and valve setup must follow manufacturer instructions and applicable electrical code requirements.

Before installation, turn off power to the automation system. Mount the actuator to the compatible diverter valve, connect the actuator cable to the correct 24V valve output, and set the cams to control the desired valve rotation range.

After installation, test valve movement in both directions, confirm the ON1/OFF/ON2 switch operation, verify pool/spa or auxiliary function programming, and check that plumbing flow matches the intended system mode.
