Product Overview

The Pentair IntelliChlor® IC40 Salt Chlorine Generator Cell (Part #520555) is a genuine Pentair replacement salt cell designed to automatically generate chlorine from ordinary salt, eliminating the need to regularly handle, store, or add traditional chlorine products. Engineered for residential pools up to 40,000 gallons, the IC40 produces up to 1.40 pounds of pure chlorine every 24 hours while delivering crystal-clear, sanitized water with minimal maintenance.

Featuring built-in diagnostics and intelligent self-monitoring, the IntelliChlor IC40 continuously displays salt level, sanitizer output, water flow, cell cleanliness, and remaining cell life. Its reverse-polarity self-cleaning technology helps minimize calcium scale buildup, extending the life of the cell and reducing maintenance requirements.

The IC40 integrates seamlessly with Pentair EasyTouch®, IntelliTouch®, SunTouch®, and IntelliCenter® automation systems for complete pool management. It requires the Pentair IntelliChlor Power Center (520556) or compatible Pentair automation system with integrated power supply for operation.

Note: Pentair has transitioned from the legacy 520555 IC40 to the newer IntelliChlor Plus40 (523735). Existing stock of 520555 may be limited.
