Product Overview

Service your compatible Pentair filter’s tank clamp with this genuine OEM Spring & Barrel Nut Assembly. This replacement hardware forms part of the spring-style clamp system that secures the filter’s upper and lower tank sections. It is intended for replacing worn or damaged spring and barrel nut components when the remaining clamp and tank are suitable for continued use. Confirm the filter’s manufacturing date and clamp design before ordering, especially on Clean & Clear Plus and FNS Plus filters.

Ideal For

• Pool professionals servicing compatible Pentair spring-style filter clamps.
• Owners of older Clean & Clear Plus cartridge or FNS Plus D.E. filters requiring replacement clamp hardware.
• Maintenance projects involving damaged threads, missing hardware, or a worn clamp spring.

Key Features

• Genuine Pentair OEM replacement assembly.
• Includes the spring and barrel nut for the specified clamp application.
• Listed in Pentair’s Clean & Clear Plus and FNS Plus spring-clamp parts tables.
• Replacement hardware component rather than a complete tank clamp.
• Designed for use with the correct existing filter and clamp configuration.

Benefits

• Allows targeted replacement of clamp hardware when the rest of the assembly remains serviceable.
• Provides an identifiable manufacturer part for accurate repair planning.
• Helps restore the clamp’s intended fastening arrangement when correctly installed.
• Supports routine filter maintenance without replacing unrelated internal filtration components.

Replacing hardware does not correct a damaged clamp band, distorted tank flange, or deteriorated tank O-ring. Those components should be inspected separately before returning the filter to service.

What’s Included

• One Pentair spring and barrel nut assembly.

The complete clamp band, tank O-ring, filter lid, and filter tank are not included.

Confirm Before Ordering / Compatibility

Verified applications include compatible spring-clamp versions of Pentair Clean & Clear Plus cartridge filters and FNS Plus D.E. filters.

Pentair’s updated manuals specify that these spring clamps and hardware kits are compatible only with filters manufactured before August 2025. Check both the manufacturing date and the installed clamp style.

Filters using the newer cast-clamp arrangement require different hardware. Do not assume this assembly fits every filter within the same product family. For other Pentair filter models, confirm the exact part in the applicable manufacturer diagram.

Have a qualified pool professional service the clamp according to the filter manual. Filter tanks operate under pressure; shut down the system and fully relieve pressure before servicing. Never loosen clamp hardware while the system is pressurized.

Customer Q&A

Is this the complete filter clamp?

No. It is the spring and barrel nut assembly. The clamp band is a separate component.

Will it fit a newer Clean & Clear Plus filter?

Check the manufacturing date and clamp design. Pentair restricts the listed spring-clamp kits to filters manufactured before August 2025.

Will this fix a leak between the tank halves?

Only if the problem involves this hardware. A damaged O-ring, clamp, or tank sealing surface requires separate attention.

Can I substitute it for cast-clamp hardware?

No. Use the replacement hardware specified for your filter’s installed clamp design.
