Product Overview

Replace the filter module in a compatible Sta-Rite System:2 modular D.E. filter with genuine Pentair part 27002-0036S. This 36-square-foot module is specified for the PLD70 and PLDE36 filter models. It replaces the internal filtration element while allowing you to keep a serviceable filter tank and other components.

A worn or damaged module can affect filtration even after cleaning. Replace it if the media is torn, its structure is damaged, or it no longer performs properly after maintenance. Match the part to the model label on your filter before ordering; the System:2 PLD models use different module sizes.

Compatibility & Specifications

Check your model number: The PLD50 uses a different 30 sq. ft. module, part 27002-0030S. The PLDE48 also uses a different module, 27002-0048S. Do not select a replacement by tank appearance alone.

Installation & Maintenance

Turn off the pump and fully release pressure through the air relief valve before opening the filter. Remove the existing module and inspect the tank, O-ring, closure ring, and internal fittings. Install the replacement in the correct position, then reassemble and start the filter according to the instructions for your model.

This is a D.E. filter module. After cleaning or replacing the element, recharge the filter with the amount of D.E. specified in your filter’s manual. For the PLDE36, Pentair lists 5.4 lb of D.E. Use the instructions for your exact filter model when measuring and adding D.E.
