Product Overview

The Hayward SP1056 1.5"/2" MPT Hydrostatic Relief Valve is a genuine Hayward replacement valve designed to help protect in-ground swimming pools from damage caused by external groundwater pressure. When a pool is drained, groundwater pressure beneath the pool shell can build up and potentially cause structural damage. This spring-loaded relief valve helps release that pressure safely through the main drain or sump area.

Made from durable white ABS plastic, the SP1056 is noncorrosive, nonconductive, and designed for use with 1.5" and 2" threaded pipe connections. It is commonly installed in pool main drain sumps and should be inspected or replaced when the pool is drained.
