Product Overview
The Jandy Pro Series 7305 Swing Check Valve is a heavy-duty, straight-through valve designed to prevent reverse water flow in swimming pool and spa plumbing systems. It fits both 2-inch and 2-1/2-inch plumbing, making it suitable for equipment-pad installations involving pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, spas, solar systems, and water features.
The valve uses a unique swing-and-spring design that opens fully during normal operation, allowing water to pass with minimal restriction and reduced pressure loss. When the circulation pump shuts off or water attempts to reverse direction, the internal flapper closes automatically to help prevent backflow.
Constructed from durable CPVC, the Jandy 7305 provides excellent resistance to pool chemicals, heat, corrosion, and outdoor operating conditions. Its clear lid and red seal plate allow the internal flapper to be inspected without removing the valve from the plumbing. The valve can also be disassembled for cleaning when debris interferes with normal operation.

Benefits
The Jandy 7305 helps protect pool equipment by preventing water from flowing backward when the circulation system shuts off. This is especially useful near chlorinators, heaters, raised spas, solar-heating systems, and water features where reverse flow may cause equipment damage, unwanted draining, or chemical migration.
Its large internal opening allows the flapper to swing completely out of the normal flow path, helping maintain efficient circulation with minimal turbulence and back pressure. The clear lid makes routine inspections faster because the flapper and seal can be checked without opening the valve.
When service is required, the internal assembly can be removed to clear debris or replace worn components without cutting the complete valve body from the plumbing.

Plumbing Connections
The valve ports accept 2-inch PVC pipe inside the socket. For 2-1/2-inch plumbing, the outside of the valve port is connected using a compatible 2-1/2-inch coupling or fitting.
This dual-size design allows the same valve to be used in multiple equipment-pad configurations without separate reducers.
Installation Information
Turn off all pool equipment and relieve system pressure before installation. Confirm the required direction of water flow and install the valve with the directional arrow aligned correctly.
Remove the internal lid, spring, and flapper assembly before applying primer or cement. This helps prevent solvent cement from damaging or bonding the internal components. Do not allow excess glue to enter the valve body.
Allow all plumbing connections to cure according to the cement manufacturer’s instructions before pressurizing the system. Installation by a qualified pool professional is recommended.
