The Jandy CS100 Cartridge Filter is a compact, high-performance pool and spa cartridge filter designed for compatible residential filtration systems. With 100 square feet of filtration area, this filter helps capture dirt, debris, and fine particles to support cleaner, clearer pool or spa water.

Cartridge filters are a popular choice for customers who want effective filtration without backwashing. Instead of using a sand or DE backwash process, the cartridge element is removed and cleaned as needed, helping reduce water waste and simplify routine maintenance.

The CS100 is best suited for properly sized residential pool and spa systems where the pump flow rate, plumbing size, equipment pad space, and filtration requirements match this filter.

Compatibility Guidance

The Jandy CS100 should be used only on compatible residential pool or spa systems that are properly sized for a 100 sq. ft. cartridge filter.

Before ordering, confirm the following:

You need model CS100.
Your pool or spa system is compatible with a 100 sq. ft. cartridge filter.
Your pump flow rate is within the filter’s operating range.
Your plumbing layout and equipment pad space can support this filter.
Your system pressure is compatible with the filter rating.
Your existing filter replacement requires the full CS100 filter, not only a cartridge element.
Your installer has confirmed sizing, plumbing, and system compatibility.

Do not select a filter by square footage alone. Filter sizing depends on pool volume, pump flow rate, plumbing design, equipment layout, debris load, and maintenance expectations.

Confirm Before Ordering

Before purchasing, please verify:

You need the Jandy CS100 model.
You need a complete 100 sq. ft. cartridge filter, not only a replacement cartridge.
Your pump and plumbing system are compatible with this filter.
Your equipment pad has enough space for installation and cartridge removal clearance.
Your pool professional has confirmed the filter is properly sized for your system.
You understand cartridge filters require periodic cleaning and eventual cartridge replacement.
Professional installation will be completed if plumbing changes are required.

Benefits

The Jandy CS100 Cartridge Filter provides reliable filtration in a compact design. Its cartridge-style element helps trap debris and particles while avoiding the water waste commonly associated with backwashing sand or DE filters.

Routine maintenance is straightforward: the cartridge can be removed, rinsed, and reinstalled as needed. This makes the CS100 a practical option for compatible residential pool and spa systems where easy maintenance and efficient filtration are important.

When properly sized and maintained, the CS100 helps support clearer water, better circulation, and improved overall system performance.

Cartridge Filter Advantage

A cartridge filter uses a pleated filter element to capture debris as water passes through the filter. Unlike sand or DE filters, cartridge filters do not require routine backwashing.

This can help conserve water and simplify maintenance. Cartridge filters are especially useful for customers who want effective filtration with fewer backwash-related plumbing and drainage requirements.

Recommended Use

Use the Jandy CS100 when your pool or spa system requires a compact 100 sq. ft. cartridge filter and your pump flow rate, plumbing, and equipment pad layout are compatible.

This model is best for properly sized residential systems where routine cartridge cleaning is manageable and the pool owner wants simple, effective filtration without backwashing.

For larger pools, high-flow pumps, heavy debris environments, or systems requiring longer cleaning intervals, a larger filter may be more appropriate.

Installation Notes

This filter should be installed by a qualified pool professional if plumbing changes or equipment pad modifications are required. Filter installation may involve plumbing connections, pressure testing, flow verification, equipment spacing, and startup inspection.

Professional installation is recommended to ensure:

Correct filter sizing
Proper plumbing connection
Adequate equipment pad clearance
Enough vertical clearance for cartridge removal
Proper pressure gauge and air relief operation
Leak-free installation
Safe system pressure operation
Correct startup and cleaning instructions

Improper installation or incorrect sizing may cause poor filtration, high pressure, restricted flow, leaks, equipment damage, or shortened cartridge life.

Maintenance Notes

Cartridge filters require periodic cleaning. Cleaning frequency depends on pool size, pump run time, debris load, water chemistry, and usage.

For best performance:

Monitor filter pressure regularly.
Clean the cartridge when pressure rises above the normal clean starting pressure.
Rinse the cartridge carefully with a garden hose.
Avoid damaging pleats during cleaning.
Use cartridge cleaning solution when needed.
Replace the cartridge when it becomes worn, damaged, or no longer cleans effectively.
Maintain proper water chemistry to protect the cartridge and filter components.
