Product Overview

The Pentair 270100Z Black Valve Adapter Kit is a genuine OEM replacement bulkhead union kit designed for compatible Pentair Clean & Clear® Plus, FNS® Plus, and Quad D.E.® pool filters. This adapter kit provides the connection between the filter bulkhead and the plumbing system, allowing 2-inch valve plumbing to connect to 2.5-inch filter ports while maintaining a secure, leak-resistant seal.

Manufactured to Pentair's original specifications, the 270100Z is ideal for replacing cracked, worn, leaking, or damaged bulkhead unions. Over time, exposure to pressure, chemicals, UV rays, and repeated maintenance can cause union fittings or O-rings to deteriorate. Installing a genuine Pentair replacement helps restore a watertight connection while maintaining proper system performance.

The kit includes the valve adapter bodies, union nuts, and sealing O-rings required for installation, making it an excellent solution during filter repairs, plumbing upgrades, or routine equipment maintenance.

Benefits

A properly sealed filter connection is essential for maintaining circulation efficiency and preventing water leaks around the equipment pad. Damaged adapter fittings or worn O-rings can lead to leaks, pressure loss, and unnecessary equipment downtime.

Replacing the complete adapter kit restores the original plumbing connection while helping reduce installation time compared to sourcing individual replacement components. Because this is an OEM Pentair part, the dimensions, threads, and sealing surfaces match the original factory assembly for dependable performance.

The durable thermoplastic construction resists pool chemicals, corrosion, and outdoor weather conditions, providing years of reliable service when properly installed.

Installation Information

Turn off the circulation system and relieve all filter pressure before beginning installation.

Remove the existing union fittings and inspect the filter bulkheads for damage or debris. Clean all sealing surfaces thoroughly before installing the new adapter bodies and O-rings. Hand-tighten the union nuts securely, then restore system pressure and inspect carefully for leaks.

Avoid overtightening, as excessive force may damage the union threads or O-rings.
