Product Overview
The US Seal PS-100 is a 5/8" general-service mechanical pump shaft seal used on many compatible pool and spa pumps. This seal helps prevent water from leaking along the motor shaft and is commonly replaced during pump motor replacement, seal plate service, impeller service, or leak repair.

Ideal For
Pool service technicians, spa repair professionals, and pool owners replacing a worn or leaking shaft seal on compatible pumps that require a PS-100 / AS-100 style 5/8" seal.

Key Features

• US Seal replacement mechanical shaft seal
• 5/8" shaft size
• General-service pool and spa pump seal
• Type A mechanical seal design
• Buna secondary seals
• Molded plastic / carbon-style primary ring
• Ceramic mating ring
• Stainless steel spring and metal components
• Helps protect the motor from water intrusion caused by seal failure
• Recommended during motor replacement or wet-end service

Benefits
The PS-100 helps restore a proper seal between the pump wet end and motor shaft. Replacing a worn shaft seal can help reduce water leaks, prevent motor bearing damage, protect against corrosion, and support reliable pump operation after service. This is a common replacement seal for many residential pool and spa pump applications when the original seal cross-references to PS-100 or AS-100.

Customer-Facing Q&A

What is the PS-100 used for?
The PS-100 is used to seal the motor shaft area on compatible pool and spa pumps, helping prevent water from leaking into the motor side of the pump.

Is PS-100 the same as AS-100?
PS-100 is commonly cross-referenced with AS-100 style seals. Always confirm your pump model or original seal number before ordering.

Does this fit all 5/8" pool pumps?
No. Even though this is a 5/8" shaft seal, pump seals are model-specific. Confirm the pump model, seal plate, and original seal cross-reference before ordering.

Is this good for saltwater pools?
The PS-100 is a general-service Buna seal. For saltwater chlorine generator pools, ozone systems, bromine spas, or harsh chemical environments, a Viton or heavy-duty seal version is usually recommended.

Should I replace this when changing the motor?
Yes. A new shaft seal should be installed whenever the pump motor is replaced or the pump wet end is opened.

Confirm Before Ordering
Please verify your exact pump model, shaft size, and original seal cross-reference before ordering. Shaft seals are model-specific, and installed seals are typically not returnable.
