Product Overview

The Jandy R0402800 16' DC Power Cord is a genuine Jandy replacement electrical cable designed for compatible AquaPure® and PureLink™ 3-port salt chlorinator cells.

This is the cord assembly that connects directly to the electrical terminals on top of the Jandy electrolytic salt cell. The molded cell-side connector fits over the cell terminals, while the opposite end connects to the AquaPure/PureLink power or control center.

Jandy identifies R0402800 as the 16-foot DC cable for its 3-port electrolytic cell system. A 25-foot version is available separately as R0476300.

What Does R0402800 Do?

The R0402800 carries DC electrical power between the AquaPure/PureLink control system and the electrolytic salt cell.

The large molded connector at the cell end installs over the electrical terminals located on top of the 3-port cell. Jandy specifies that this connector must be fully seated onto the cell terminal studs during installation.

Replace the Cord If You Notice:

• Damaged or cracked cell connector
• Burned or overheated connector
• Corroded electrical contacts
• Damaged insulation
• Cut or deteriorated cable
• Loose connection at the salt cell
• Intermittent salt-cell operation caused by a damaged connection

Installation Information

Before servicing the salt chlorination system:

1. Turn off power to the pool equipment.
2. Turn off the circulation pump.
3. Disconnect the existing DC cord from the salt cell.
4. Disconnect the cord from the AquaPure/PureLink power center.
5. Route the replacement cable through the appropriate strain relief.
6. Connect the power-center side according to the manufacturer's wiring instructions.
7. Push the molded connector completely onto the salt-cell terminal studs.

Jandy specifically cautions that the DC cable connector should be fully inserted and bottomed out on the cell housing.
